The Business Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement, excellence in teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Adjunct Faculty members may have the opportunity to teach in one or more of these modalities based on training and experience.,

This position is part of an ongoing recruitment process. Qualified candidates will be contacted by the hiring manager as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates knowledge of the current subject area.

2. Implements course outcomes based on the master syllabus.

3. Prepare and distribute an updated course outline specific to the sections taught.

4. Prepares and creates lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for students.

5. Teaches courses and evaluates student performance.

6. Maintains accurate student records.

7. Submits pertinent data to the department and/or the College.

8. Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business administration, or related field along with 3 years of teaching experience and/or 5 years of relevant accounting work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. A Master’s degree in accounting along with 3 years of relevant teaching experience. Applicants with any of the following professional certifications would be highly considered:

2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

3. Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

4. Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)

5. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

6. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

7. Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

8. Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB)

Additional Information:

1. Adjunct rate of pay for the 2025-2026 Academic Year is $1,087 per contact hour
