The Center for Student Well-Being Work Study Student assists the staff within the department with regular office tasks throughout the year.
This is a Federal Work-Study position.
Essential Functions:
- Handles copying tasks and assists with mailing.
- Organizes and maintains documents by filing or shredding.
- Organizes, tracks and restocks inventory for the Food Cupboard and Flick's Place.
- Responds to phone inquiries and assists walk-in customers as needed.
- Ensures the Center for Student Well-Being waiting area and Sensory Room are organized and maintained.
- Organizes and restocks Swagon/snack baskets and bins around campus.
- Attends campus events with Swagon, when scheduling permits based on work and class schedule.
Requirements:
- Current Finger Lakes Community College student enrolled in six (6), or more, credit hours.
- Eligible for a Federal Work-Study award.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Maintains regular hours based on class schedule.
- Ability to exhibit professionalism through reliable attendance, professional appearance, and adhering to the FLCC Student Code of Conduct.
Additional Information:
- Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour, in accordance with New York State minimum wage.
- Students may work up to 20 hours per week with weekend hours as needed.
